Time, budget, and the difficulty of finding a sufficient number of thematically related places for backlink acquisition are the three most common responses to the question about the biggest challenges in link building. The modules discussed below largely address two of these mentioned issues:

    • They save time, transforming hours spent on preparing offers and planning campaigns into minutes.

    • They provide a way to discover numerous thematically related places (in terms of keywords and competitors) for backlink acquisition.

How to choose backlinks?

Through conversations with clients, preparing tailored offers, and observing user behavior on the platform, we have noticed that two general methods dominate the selection of linking locations (often used simultaneously):

    • Using thematically related places visible on Google

    • Using places where competitors have backlinks (see the video tutorial for the Backlink Gap module).

Of course, in both cases, it is important to acquire backlinks from domains that the website has not been positioned on before.

Armed with this knowledge, we’ve prepared two modules that allow for a much faster selection of backlinks for the websites you’re optimizing: Backlink Gap and Topical Backlinks Tool. Within a few minutes, without the need for additional tools, you’ll receive backlink suggestions based on the backlink profiles of competitors or association with the keywords you’re interested in, along with a clear rationale for why a backlink from a specific domain is worth acquiring.

Backlink Gap

CHECK OUT THE FULL GUIDE ON HOW TO USE THE BACKLINK GAP TOOL MODULE

We’ve prepared a module that, by using data from Semstorm, Semrush, and Ahrefs, allows for the quick preparation of a backlink offer from domains that meet the three conditions below:

    • The competition has backlinks

    • The offered page doesn’t have backlinks

    • There is an option to purchase the backlink through the Linkhouse platform

Importantly, Backlink Gap works for websites in any language from our offering – English, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, etc.

How does it work?

Step 1: Selecting the website and search engine version

In the first step, you need to determine whether the offer will be created for the entire domain, a specific section, or an exact phrase. The option with a section is intended only for the largest websites.

Of course, you need to provide the website address for which you want to prepare the offer and select the language version of the search engine on which the page should rank. Based on this, we will generate a list of competitors.

Step 2: Selecting competitors

Based on shared keywords, we compile a list of the top 10 competitors, from which you can choose the most relevant ones for further analysis. Please note that these results may not be perfect, and important pages we know about might be missing from the list – you can add their addresses in the empty fields:

Step 3: Analysis

Depending on the number of competitors and the number of linking domains they have, the analysis may take from a few seconds to several minutes – the progress is displayed in real time on the screen. During this time, we collect all the linking domains to your site and your competitors’ sites. We remove the domains from which you already have backlinks and then compare the remaining ones with our Marketplace.

Step 4: Results

The results page provides a summary of when and for which page the offer was created (it is saved in your account and you can revisit it later). It also includes basic filters and a table with offers that you can order. From the results page, you can also generate a invoice for selected positions.

You can export the results to PDF or XLS – either all of them or just selected positions (you can also choose which columns will be included in the export).

In addition to the standard parameters and information you know from the Marketplace, the Occurrences column deserves attention. It allows you to quickly sort the results based on the most popular linking domains among competitors. It also provides a quick overview of which competitor has a backlink from a particular site.

Important: The module has a default limit of 2000 RD (Referring Domains) per domain – so if your site, or one of the competitor’s sites, has more than 2000 linking domains (a situation that only occurs for large, top-level sites), the results may not be fully accurate. In such a case, please contact support@linkhouse.co.

Topical Backlinks Tool

The Topical Backlinks Tool module allows you to select keywords that are important for visibility. Then it finds domains and specific URL addresses that rank for these keywords, from which you can purchase backlinks using the app.linkhouse.co platform.

How does it work?

Step 1: Selection of the keyword selection path

In the Basic option, after providing the website for which you want to acquire backlinks and selecting the language of the Google search engine, you can choose which types of phrases we should include in the suggestions:

    • Keywords with potential, for which the page ranks in positions 11-100 – as the name suggests, this option will provide keywords for which the given page ranks, but outside the top ten. These are often queries for which it will be relatively easy to improve the position and gain traffic from the first page of results.

    • Keywords to improve the position for, on which the client’s page ranks at positions X-10 – this option is similar in its operation to the previous one, but this time it concerns phrases that are already in the top ten. You determine the position range depending on whether your goal is, for example, Top3 or Top5.

    • Keywords shared with competitors – queries on which both the page for which the offer is being created and at least one of the selected competitors rank at the Top100.

    • Competitor keywords that the above page does not rank in the Top100

After selecting options 3 or 4, you will have the opportunity to choose competitors. In addition to the presented suggestions, there is also the possibility to add your own missing positions.
In case of doubt about which of the 4 options to select, we recommend choosing all of them.

The Advanced option will work better if you have a ready list of keywords.

Step 2: Choosing from the suggested phrases

In the Basic path, the second step is a table containing suggested phrases, chosen based on the criteria from step 1. You can sort and filter them based on various criteria.

To use a given expression in creating an offer, click on the “+” icon. If you see a low-quality result that is not relevant to you (this sometimes happens, for example, for phrases the page ranks for randomly in distant positions), use the trash can icon to remove the phrase from the suggestions list. You can choose how many phrases per page of results you want to see, and also select several or all for mass transfer to the Selected Phrases table.

We recommend using filters for faster selection of appropriate queries. For example, you can enter a competitor’s brand in the “Search words…” field to quickly filter out all phrases containing it and remove them from the suggestions (or add them to the Selected Phrases – depending on your strategy).

Step 3: Analysis

Depending on the number of selected phrases, the analysis will take from a few seconds to a few minutes. We will retrieve the Top100 results for each selected phrase and compare them with the services and offers available in our Marketplace.

Step 4: Results

The list of results contains specific offers to acquire backlinks in two levels of thematic matching:

Link insertions – in this case, we present an exact match, which means you can buy a backlink in a specific article ranking for the selected keywords (provided it is an editorial article, not someone’s sponsored article).

Guest posts and Advertising links – matching ranking phrases at the domain level. The more phrases (the harder the better) visible on high positions, the more thematic matching of the domain to your needs, and the sense of acquiring backlink – even from subpages other than those currently holding high positions.

Summary

Both Backlink Gap and Topical Backlinks Tool are tested in practice, fully functional modules, ready to be used by users wanting to outperform their competition and achieve better positions in search results.
